Edgar Ndjatou (pronounced ja-too) is a Washington, DC–based HR and employment law expert who helps organizations build fair, transparent, and effective workplaces. Originally from Cameroon and raised in New York City, Edgar brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to workers’ rights to every conversation about the modern workplace.

As the Founder of Officium, Edgar specializes in helping organizations make competent HR decisions, design innovative policies, strengthen business operations, and navigate conflict through alternative dispute resolution. His dual background in employment law and HR strategy allows him to bridge the gap between legal compliance and everyday workplace realities.

Before launching Officium, Edgar practiced employment law for nine years and co-managed his own firm. He represented both employees and employers across a wide range of industries, advising clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and helping them reduce litigation risk. Today, he leverages that balanced experience to educate the public on workers’ rights and advocate for fair treatment, accountability, and open communication in the workplace.

Edgar has supported clients in the public, private, and government sectors—including charter schools, construction firms, IT companies, restaurants, tutoring companies, and small business owners—giving him a holistic understanding of the challenges facing today’s workforce.
